Approximately 168,000 people have passed through border points on Wednesday

Approximately 168,000 people, Romanian and foreign citizens, and over 46,200 means of transport carried out the control formalities (both inbound and outbound), on Wednesday, through border points throughout the country, the General Inspectorate of the Border Police informs in a press release sent to AGERPRES on Thursday.

The source mentions that inbound for Romania were 80,540 people including 10,123 Ukrainian nationals, agerpres reports.

Regarding the specific activities, in the last 24 hours, in the areas of competence - the crossing points and the "green border" - the border police detected, on Wednesday, 66 illegal acts (44 crimes and 22 misdemeanors) committed both by Romanian and foreign citizens. The goods seized for confiscation were worth more than 161,000 RON.

On Wednesday, 15 foreign citizens who did not meet the conditions stipulated by the law were denied entry, and 7 Romanian citizens were not allowed to leave for various legal reasons.
