As many as 51.2pct of COVID cases recorded last week in Bucharest, Cluj, Timis, Sibiu, Constanta

The National Institute of Public Health informs that, over November 14 - 20, 51.2pct of the COVID-19 cases were recorded in Bucharest, Cluj, Timis, Sibiu and Constanta counties.

According to the Weekly Surveillance Report, 41.4pct of the confirmed cases were recorded in persons not vaccinated against COVID, told Agerpres.

Among the vaccinated who got sick, 45.8pct got the diseases either immediately after vaccination or more than six months after the last dose.

INSP specifies that 66.7pct of the total deaths were recorded in Bihor, Buzau, Dolj, Mures and Olt.

According to the same source, 73.7pct of the deaths were recorded among the unvaccinated people.

From the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic until now, according to INSP, 86.5pct of all deaths were in people over 60 years old, and 54.7pct in men.

93.7pct of the deceased had at least one associated comorbidity.
