Aviation Day/ F-16 aircraft of Romanian Forces to fly over Bucharest on Saturday

Romanian Aviation and Air Force Day will be celebrated on Saturday, at the Air Heroes Monument in Aviatorilor Square in Bucharest, when a military and religious ceremony will take place, with laying of wreaths in memory of the heroes, the National Defense Ministry (MApN) informs.

According to a release sent to AGERPRES on Thursday, military aircraft belonging to the Romanian Air Force will fly over during the ceremony: F-16 Fighting Falcon, C-130 Hercules, C-27J Spartan, IAR-330 and IAR-99, as well as EC-135 SMURD type and S-70M Black Hawk helicopters and a Learjet 75 aircraft belonging to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, SA-365 Dauphin helicopters of the Romanian Intelligence Service, Extra 300 aircraft belonging to the Romanian Aeroclub, a C-17 Globemaster aircraft from the Papa Air Base in Hungary and F-18 Hornet planes of the Finnish Air Force.

The MApN states that the training sessions carried out until Thursday in the area of the Monument to the Air Heroes in the Aviatorilor Square and the flyover of the aircraft on the occasion of the Romanian Aviation and Air Force Day on Saturday are carried out with all safety measures and compliance with the aeronautical regulations in force, so that the impact on the local community to be minimal.
