The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) closed Monday's trading session higher by over 2% on almost all indices, with total trading of 169.63 million lei (33.33 million euros), up from the value recorded in the previous session, namely 133.34 million lei (26.20 million euros).
The main index of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BET, which includes the 20 most traded companies listed on the Regulated Market, appreciated by 2.38%, up to 26,343.09 points, while BET-Plus, which shows the evolution of the 43 most liquid shares on the Exchange, closed with an increase of 2.32%.
The BET-BK index, the benchmark for investment fund performance, closed up 2.42%, while the BET-NG, which measures the performance of ten energy and utility companies, gained 2.20%.
The extended blue-chip index BET-XT, of the 25 most liquid stocks, rose 2.48%, while the SIF index, BET-FI, rose 2.73%.
The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies on the AeRO market, closed up 0.02%.
The most liquid stocks were those of Banca Transilvania, with transactions of 30.06 million lei, followed by OMV Petrom shares - 15.07 million lei, and Romgaz - 11.93 million lei.
The best developments were recorded by shares of Electroaparataj (+14.29%), Artego (+7.77%) and Farmaceutica Remedia (+7.32%).
The most important decreases were recorded by shares of Aeta SA (-6.56%), Armatura (-4.76%) and Turism, Hoteluri, Restaurants Marea Neagra (-3.77%).
