The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) closed on Thursday higher on almost all indices, with total trading of 96.09 million lei (18.87 million euros), of which share transactions amounted to 64.22 million lei (12.61 million euros).
The main index of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BET, which includes the 20 most traded companies listed on the Regulated Market, appreciated by 1.1%, up to 23,538.99 points, while BET-Plus, which shows the evolution of the 43 most liquid shares on the Exchange, closed up by 1.05%.
The BET-BK index, the benchmark for investment fund performance, closed up 0.82%, while the BET-NG, which measures the performance of ten energy and utility companies, gained 0.86%.
Also, the extended blue-chip index BET-XT, of the 25 most liquid stocks, rose 0.92%, while the SIF index, BET-FI, closed down 0.04%.
At the same time, the BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies on the AeRO market, lost 0.09% of its value compared to the previous session.
The most liquid stocks were those of Banca Transilvania, with transactions of 14.45 million lei, followed by the shares of Fondul Proprietatea - 8.96 million lei, and those of OMV Petrom - 7.41 million lei.
At the same time, the best developments were recorded by the shares of Armatura (+13.29%), Aeta (+5.26%) and Turism, Hoteluri, Restaurante Marea Neagra (+4.81%).
The most significant decreases were recorded by shares of Prefab (-14.53%), Altur (-3.60%) and Aages (-1.86%).
