The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) closed Thursday's trading session higher on all indices, with total trading of 168.15 million lei (33.04 million euros), up from the value recorded in the previous session, of 99.63 million lei (19.57 million euros).
The main index of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BET, which reflects the evolution of the 20 most traded companies listed on the Regulated Market, increased by 1.45%, up to 27,095.46 points, and the BET-Plus index, which tracks the performance of the 43 most liquid shares, recorded an appreciation of 1.47%.
The BET-BK index, the benchmark for investment fund performance, closed up 1.38%, while the BET-NG, which measures the performance of ten energy and utility companies, gained 1.14%.
The extended blue-chip index BET-XT, of the 25 most liquid stocks, rose 1.51%, while the SIF index, BET-FI, gained 2.65%.
The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies on the AeRO market, closed up 1.05%.
The most liquid stocks were those of Banca Transilvania, with transactions of 31.81 million lei, followed by OMV Petrom shares - 14.13 million lei, and Hidroelectrica - 14 million lei.
The best developments were recorded by shares of Carbochim (+14.29%), STK Emergent (+9.24%) and Romcarbon (+8.55%).
The most significant decreases were recorded by shares of Societatea de Constructii Napoca (-14.29%), SIF Hoteluri (-7.02%) and Bermas (-4.72%).
