The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) closed Wednesday's trading session higher by over 1% on all indices, with total trading of 99.63 million lei (19.57 million euros), down from the value recorded in the previous session, of 166.37 million lei (32.68 million euros).
The main index of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BET, which reflects the evolution of the 20 most traded companies listed on the Regulated Market, increased by 1.44%, up to 26,708.39 points, and the BET-Plus index, which tracks the performance of the 43 most liquid shares, recorded a similar appreciation.
The BET-BK index, the benchmark for investment fund performance, closed up 1.61%, while the BET-NG, which measures the performance of ten energy and utility companies, gained 1.60%.
The extended blue-chip index BET-XT, of the 25 most liquid stocks, rose 1.41%, and the SIF index, BET-FI, gained 1.10%.
The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies on the AeRO market, closed up 1.43%.
The most liquid stocks were those of Banca Transilvania, with transactions of 13.64 million lei, followed by the shares of the ETF BET Patria-Tradeville Open-Ended Investment Fund - 7.87 million lei, and those of Romgaz - 7.04 million lei.
The best developments were recorded by the shares of Biofarm (+14.84%), Societatea de Constructii Napoca (+14.66%) and One United Properties (+7.31%).
The most significant decreases were recorded by the shares of Vrancart (-2.48%), Santierul Naval Orsova (-2.44%) and Green Tech International (-2.10%).
