Bucharest Stock Exchange closes higher Wednesday's trading session with trades totaling 92.85 million lei (18.22 million euros)

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) closed Wednesday's trading session higher on all indices, with trades totaling 92.85 million lei (18.22 million euros).

The main index of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BET, which includes the 20 most traded companies listed on the Regulated Market, appreciated by 0.39%, to 21,609.60 points, while BET-Plus, which shows the evolution of the 43 most liquid shares on the Exchange, closed up by 0.35%.

The extended blue-chip index BET-XT, of the 25 most liquid stocks, recorded an advance of 0.37%, and the SIF index, BET-FI, gained 0.02%, compared to the previous day.

Also, the BET-BK index, the benchmark for investment fund performance, closed up 0.28%, while BET-NG, which measures the performance of ten energy and utility companies, rose 0.48%.

At the same time, the BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies on the AeRO market, recorded an increase of 3.61%.

The most liquid stocks were those of Banca Transilvania, with transactions totaling 43.29 million lei, followed by Electrica shares - with 3.34 million lei, and Nuclearelectrica shares - 1.87 million lei.

At the same time, the best developments were recorded by Mecanica Ceahlau shares (+10.99%), UAMT (+10.17%) and COMCM (+5.33%).

The most significant decreases were recorded by Condmag shares (-6.90%), Green Tech International (-6.59%) and Armatura (-3.83%).
