Bucharest Stock Exchange closes on the rise on Tuesday

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) closed Tuesday's trading session on the rise, with a total turnover of 96.46 million lei (18.93 million euros).

The main index of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BET index, which includes the 20 most traded companies listed on the Regulated Market, rose by 2.42% to 27,778.72 points, while BET-Plus index, which reflects the performance of the 43 most liquid shares on the exchange, closed up 2.39%.

The BET-BK index, the benchmark return index for investment funds, ended the session 2.66% higher, while the BET-NG index, which measures the performance of the ten energy and utilities companies, recorded an increase of 2.30%.

The extended blue-chip index BET-XT index, which tracks the 25 most liquid shares, gained 2.37%, while the financial investment companies index BET-FI index closed 1.09% up.

The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies from the AeRO market, ended the session with an increase of 0.58%.

The most liquid shares were those of Banca Transilvania, with transactions worth 18.36 million lei, followed by shares in OMV Petrom with 11.03 million lei, and Hidroelectrica with 5.73 million lei.

The best performances were recorded by shares in FIAIR BET FI Index Invest (+14.75%), Electrica (+8.30%) and AETA (+7.48%).

The biggest declines were seen in shares in Energopetrol (-14.63%), Rompetrol Rafinare (-6.50%) and Comelf (-5.13%).
