The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) closed Wednesday's session lower on almost all indices, with total trading of 4.85 million lei (14.69 million euros), of which share transactions represented 60.53 million lei (11.88 million euros).
The main index of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, BET, which includes the 20 most traded companies listed on the Regulated Market, depreciated by 1.01%, to 23,885.83 points, while BET-Plus, which shows the evolution of the 43 most liquid shares on the Exchange, closed down by 1%.
The BET-BK index, the benchmark for investment fund performance, closed down 0.70%, while the BET-NG index, which tracks the performance of ten energy and utility companies, fell 0.91%.
The BET-XT blue-chip index, the 25 most liquid stocks, fell 0.96%, while the SIF index, BET-FI, closed down 0.51%.
The BET AeRO index, which tracks 20 representative companies on the AeRO market, gained 0.05%.
The most liquid stocks were those of Banca Transilvania, with transactions of 12.10 million lei, followed by OMV Petrom shares - 5.58 million lei, and those of the ETF Bet Patria - Tradeville Open-Ended Investment Fund - 4.80 million lei.
At the same time, the best developments were recorded by the shares of Societatea de Constructii Napoca (+14.44%), UAMT (+13.18%) and Electroaparataj (+12.42%).
The most significant decreases were recorded by the shares of Prebet (-8.80%), Altur (-3.76%) and Patria Bank (-3.39%).
