Bucharest Stock Exchange opens higher in Friday's trading session

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened higher across all indices in Friday's session, with total turnover amounting to 18.74 million lei (3.55 million euros), 35 minutes into the session.

The benchmark BET index, which tracks the performance of the 20 most liquid listed companies, gained 1.45%, while the BET-Plus index, which follows the performance of the 43 most liquid shares on the BVB, rose 1.42%, agerpres reports.

Meanwhile, the BET-XT index, comprising the 25 most liquid stocks, advanced 1.46%, while the BET-BK index, the benchmark for investment fund performance, increased by 1.66%.

The BET-FI index of Financial Investment Companies (SIFs) rose 0.71%, while the BET-NG index, which tracks the ten companies in the energy and utilities sector, gained 1.96%.

According to BVB data, the biggest increases in share prices were recorded by Rompetrol Rafinare (+5.79%), Nuclearelectrica (+5.36%) and Transelectrica (+3.94%).

On the other hand, the largest declines were recorded by Alumil Rom Industry (-3.45%), Electromagnetica (-3.20%) and Christian 76 Tour (-2.54%).
