The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened lower on most indices on Thursday, with turnover reaching 6.76 million lei (1.33 million euro) after the first 30 minutes of trading.
The main BET index, which reflects the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, fell 0.76%, while the BET-Plus index, tracking the 43 most traded shares on the BVB, was down 0.73%.
The extended blue-chip index BET-XT, which includes the 25 most liquid stocks, declined 0.60%, and the BET-BK index, the benchmark for investment fund performance, dropped 0.33%.
The BET-FI index of financial investment companies (SIFs) rose 1%, while the BET-NG index, which covers ten companies in the energy and utilities sectors, recorded a 1.18% decrease.
The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies from the AeRO market, was down 0.95%.
According to BVB data, the highest share price increases were recorded by Armatura (+14.97%), Aeta (+5.17%) and Evergent Investments (+2.19%).
Conversely, the biggest declines were seen in Carbochim (-5.22%), Rompetrol Rafinare (-4.03%) and SSIF BRK Financial Group (-3.06%).
