The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened Wednesday's trading session with gains on most indices, while the turnover stood at 7.89 million lei (1.55 million euros) after 40 minutes of trading.
The main BET index, which reflects the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, recorded an increase of 0.06%, while the BET-Plus index, which shows the evolution of the 43 most liquid shares on the BVB, registered a rise of 0.05%.
At the same time, the extended blue-chip index BET-XT, comprising the 25 most liquid stocks, gained 0.04%, while the BET-BK index, which serves as a benchmark for investment funds, appreciated 0.17%.
The BET-FI index, reflecting the performance of Financial Investment Companies (SIFs), registered an increase of 0.02%, while the BET-NG index, which includes 10 companies in the energy and utilities sector, dropped 0.01%.
The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies from the AeRO market, was up 0.29%.
According to BVB data, the highest increases in share value were recorded by SIF Hoteluri (9.47%), Romcab (+6.25%), and Alro (+2.8%).
On the other hand, shares of Sinteza (-2.9%), Carbochim (-2.65%), and Roca Industry Holdingrock (-2.22%) were in decline
