The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened lower on Monday, with turnover reaching 20.15 million lei (3.95 million euros) after the first hour of trading.
The main BET index, which tracks the performance of the 20 most liquid companies, fell by 1.05%, while the BET-Plus index, covering the 43 most liquid shares on the BVB, declined by 1.03%.
The extended blue-chip BET-XT index, representing the 25 most liquid stocks, was down 0.98%, and the investment fund benchmark BET-BK depreciated by 1.12%.
The BET-FI index of SIFs recorded a slight drop of 0.06%, while BET-NG, the index of ten companies in the energy and utilities sector, fell 1.43%.
The BET AeRO index, which includes 20 representative companies from the AeRO market, was down 0.41%.
According to BVB data, the largest gains were seen in Bucur Bucuresti (+9.02%), SIF Hoteluri (+7.62%) and Carbochim (+6.11%).
Conversely, shares of Armatura (-14.75%), Cgimcomplex (-6.88%) and Casa de Bucovina - Club de Munte (-6.47%) recorded the biggest losses.
