Bucharest stocks higher at Thursday's close of trade

The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) closed Thursday's trading session with almost all indices in the green and RON 94.14 million (EUR 18.92 million) worth of trades, told Agerpres.

The main BET index, which tracks the most liquid 20 companies, rose 1.58 percent to 18,174.01 points, and the BET-Plus index which shows the evolution of the top liquid 43 shares gained 1.62 percent.

The extended blue-chip index BET-XT of the top-liquid 25 issuers closed 1.64 percent higher, while the return benchmark index for stock investment funds BET-BK gained 1.44 percent.

The BET-FI index of the five financial investment companies advanced 1.08 percent, while the sectoral energy and related utilities index BET-NG inched up 1.54 percent.

The BET AeRO index of the 20 representative companies on the AeRO market closed 0.22 percent lower.

The most traded stocks on the Regulated Market were Hidroelectrica with almost RON 27.7 million worth of trades, followed by Banca Transilvania with RON 13.8 million worth of trading, and OMV Petrom with RON 6.95 million.

According to BVB, the best performing issuers were Antibiotice (+12.79 percent), the Orsova Shipyard (+9.17 percent), and Prebet (+5.53 percent).

Conversely, the issuers on a significant downward trend were Societatea de Constructii Napoca (-13.04 percent), Mecanica Ceahlau (-8.93 percent), and Comelf (-7.44 percent).
