The President of the Constitutional Court of Romania (CCR), Elena-Simina Tanasescu, states that in an era of rapid change, we must remain committed to supporting the continuous evolution and modernization of Romania, strengthening the mechanisms of the rule of law and protecting the dignity and fundamental rights of citizens.

"Romania's National Day symbolizes the power through which a united people, confident and attached to the authenticity of their values, affirm their identity and mission to fulfill the ideal of an independent, just and dignified state. History reminds us that national identity was built through the sacrifice of those who defended the freedom, values and traditions of the Romanian nation and laid the foundation of the modern state; towards them we have a duty to continue the path they opened for us. In an era in which change is rapid, we must maintain our commitment to supporting the evolution and continuous modernization of Romania, consolidating the mechanisms of the rule of law and protecting the dignity and fundamental rights of every citizen," says the President of the CCR in the message sent on Monday on National Day.

Elena-Simina Tanasescu emphasizes that this symbolic day offers us all the opportunity to reflect and reaffirm the firm commitment to defending constitutional democracy and citizens' freedoms, aware that, in the face of the challenges of the present, these remain the essential landmarks that ensure the stability and continuity of public life.

"By training and empowering new generations in the spirit of respect for the law and constitutional patriotism, we carry forward the legacy of our ancestors and build a strong, united and dignified Romania. To all Romanians, everywhere, I urge them to remain united, confident and attached to the values that define us. Happy birthday, Romania! Happy birthday, Romanians!," the CCR president also said.
