CFR Calatori, the national passenger railroad carrier has launched the tender for the procurement of the design and execution services for the Phase 1 of the modernization project of the railway connecting the Bucharest North Railway Station to the 'Henri Coanda' Airport, informs a press release of CFR SA sent to AGERPRES on Tuesday.
According to the source, this stage (CF Connection at Terminal T1) comprises the construction of a double track 2.95 km long, a viaduct of 1.52 kilometers crossing national road DN1, 3 footbridges, an electronic centralization plant and a passenger station at terminal T1.
The total estimated value of the contract is 420.113 million lei without VAT, of which 402.711 million lei for the execution of the works and 17.402 million lei without VAT for design services, the source of financing being provided by the Cohesion and State Budget Funds for the financial framework 2014-2020.
The duration of the contract is 14 months, of which 2 months for design and 12 months for execution, plus a 60-month warranty period. The deadline for the receipt of tenders is March 25, 2019, their opening being due to take place on the same day at 15.00hrs.
