Romania's Chamber of Deputies is hosting today and tomorrow the 64th meeting of the Committee on Economic and Development Policies of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC).

The BSEC meeting in Bucharest, with the general theme 'Towards a greener future: Cooperation for technological solutions in the Black Sea region', will be attended by parliamentary delegations from the member states of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization (BSEC), representatives of the International Secretariat of BSEC, representatives of BSEC, members of the Diplomatic Corps, as well as officials from the Romanian Government.

The agenda of the meeting includes, inter alia: elections to the position of vice-president of the committee; the debate and approval of a draft report and the recommendation on the subject under discussion; presenting the BSEC activities in line with the topics under debate and establishing details of the next meeting.

Given the recent appointment of the new delegation of the Romanian Parliament to the BSECPA, this meeting will be a good opportunity to increase the visibility of Romania in the extended Black Sea region.
