Social Democratic Party (PSD) leader Sorin Grindeanu on Monday, after the consultations with President Nicusor Dan, said that his party rejects the option of a government led by Ilie Bolojan, according to Agerpres.
"Following that internal consultation, we can no longer support a government with Ilie Bolojan as prime minister and it was not only PSD members who said this, the Romanian Parliament said it as well through a motion of no confidence voted by 281 parliamentarians," he said.
Grindeanu also added that the PSD rules out an alliance outside the pro-Western parties.
"These are the principles we conveyed to the president so that, following the consultations, an attempt can be made to reach a solution," the Social Democratic leader also said.
