A C-27J Spartan aircraft of the Romanian Air Force, configured for medical missions, took off on Sunday, around 5:15 a.m., to transport to Brussels two patients who suffered burns as a result of the fire at the warehouse fuels from the town of Crevedia, Dambovita County, a release from the National Defence Ministry informs, Agerpres reports.

The second C 27J Spartan aircraft took off at 8:00 a.m. to Milan, Italy, for the transport of two more patients who suffered burns.

The missions were carried out as a result of the approval of the minister of National Defense, Angel Tilvar, at the request of the secretary of state and head of the Department for Emergency Situations in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Raed Arafat.

The medical teams for monitoring patients during transport are made up of specialists from ICU-SMURD Bucharest and the Floreasca Emergency Clinical Hospital from the Romanian capital city.
