Military prosecutors have opened a criminal investigation for crimes against humanity in relation to the systematic actions of repression of the communist regime against the participants in the workers' anti-communist uprising in Brasov, November 15 2017.
Already heard in this criminal file were the victims who were subject to investigations and received sentences in 1987 for participating in the anti-communist rebellion in Brasov, says a release of the General Prosecutor's Office.
"Moreover, the investigators try to identify the employees of the Militia and Security structures who initiated the criminal proceedings against the participants in the anti-communist rebellion in Brasov and ordered that the workers remained under observation during a time when, illegally, after the publication of the Decree no. 11/1988 regarding the amnesty of some crimes and the reduction of punishments, the obligation to remain in house arrest was maintained in various counties of the country," claim the prosecutors.
The investigation also took into consideration the materials and documents sent by the National Council for the Study of the Security Archives in respect to the actions of the communist regime against the participants in the workers' uprising in Brasov, November 15 1987. AGERPRES .
