Her Majesty Margareta, the Custodian of the Romanian Crown, met, on Friday, in Chisinau, with the President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu.
Margareta, Custodian of the Romanian Crown, who is currently visiting the Republic of Moldova, is accompanied by Prince Radu. The Romanian ambassador to Chisinau, Cristian-Leon Turcanu, representatives of the Presidency of the Republic of Moldova and the Royal House were also present at the meeting with Maia Sandu.
The Custodian of the Crown visited the Republic of Moldova in 2013 and 2016, Agerpres informs.
This is the seventh foreign visit of the Royal Family in 2022, after the visit to Great Britain of Her Majesty and Prince Radu (March), the visit of Prince Radu to the Netherlands (April), the visit of the Custodian of the Crown in London (June), the visit of Prince Radu to Turkey (June), the visit of Prince Radu to Chisinau (September) and the visit of the Custodian of the Crown in London (September).
In this visit to Chisinau, Her Majesty is accompanied by Dr. Jonathan Eyal and the lawyer Dr. Ioan Luca Vlad, members of the Royal Council.
Also on Friday, Prince Radu visited the Alexandru cel Bun Armed Forces Academy.
During Friday evening, the Custodian of the Crown will meet with the President of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, Igor Grosu.
