Crown Custodian Margareta on Monday welcomed Romanian Ambassador to Italy Gabriela Dancau to review projects of the Romanian Royal House in support of the Romanian communities in Italy.
"Her Majesty and the ambassador-designate have held talks on projects of the Royal House in support of the Romanian communities in Italy to strengthen the economic relationship with Italy, to expand ties in higher education and to strengthen ties between our countries and NATO," according to a Royal House Facebook post.
The meeting was also attended by Prince Radu.
Italy is the European Union country with the largest Romanian community, of 1.2 million people.
Crown Custodian Margareta intends to visit the large Romanian communities in countries of the European Union this year, according to the post.
