The Custodian of the Romanian Crown, Princess Margareta, thanked Romanians for the "unprecedented attachment" they showed to King Mihai and promised that the latter's principles and emotions shall continue to guide the Royal Family of Romania.
"I wish to thank everybody for their nice words, for their affection and thoughts full of compassion that they showed at the death of my father. King Mihai was a wonderful father, a model of morality and a pillar of our country's contemporary history. He was loyal, honest and generous and he proved an unwavering devotion for our Nation and the Crown. We were all united, proud, said and exalted. The same principles and feelings that my father had will continue to guide the Romanian Royal Family from now on too," said the Custodian of the Romanian Crown, in a message that the Press Office of Her Majesty's House sent to AGERPRES on Tuesday.
Princess Margareta believes that these latest days of "mourning" will remain in the contemporary history due to the attachment Romanians showed to King Mihai.
"I thank you all for the power of your love and for unmatched attachment you showed to our King, in his last days on Earth. Because of you, these latest days of mourning will remain in the contemporary history," said the Custodian of the Romanian Crown.
