Members of Automobile Dacia Trade Union will organise on Tuesday, at the Mioveni platform, a protest rally against the Government's measure to transfer the social contribution from employer to employee but also against the obligation to negotiate and conclude collective labour contracts at branch level, as well as for the kick off of the Pitesti-Sibiu motorway construction, the union representatives announced on Monday in a press statement.

"Automobile Dacia Trade Union Council decided in the meeting of 27 October, 2017, the organisation of a big protest rally at Mioveni, in front of "Dacia" Unions' Culture House, on Tuesday, 7 November 2017, starting with 12:30 hrs. Members of the Automobile Dacia Union from the Mioveni platform and from suppliers will participate in order to protest against the transfer of taxes and duties from employer to employee, against the obligation to negotiate and conclude Collective Labour Contracts at branch-level, as well as for the kick-off of the Pitesti-Sibiu motorway construction, vital for the automotive industry in Romania. The measures planned by the current governing bring prejudice to Romanians' living standard, taunting our struggle in earning our and our children's bread, by pawning our future! It is vital for our future and that of our children to persuade the government people to back down from the plans to take away our money!", reads the quoted source.

According to the Emergency Ordinance draft regarding the amendment and completion of Law no. 227/2015 of the Tax Code, recently published by the Finance Ministry, the social contributions are due to be transferred from employers to employees starting with January 1, 2018.
