Deputy Adrian Gurzau can be placed under pre-trial arrest, according to the Deputies' Chamber decision on Tuesday. Mircea Dolha, a member of the vote count committee, said that 238 MPs were present in the plenary sitting and they all cast their vote. Out of these, 124 voted in favour of Gurzau being placed under pre-trial arrest and 114 voted against.
The vote was secret, with balls. Previously, the Deputies' Chamber had decided against Adrian Gurzau being placed under pre-trial arrest. On Monday, the Chamber's legal committee approved the Justice Minister's request on detaining and placing MP Adrian Gurzau under pre-trial arrest, charged with influence peddling in the Carpatica Asig case.
