The Romanian Academy is organising on Monday the launch event of the European-funded project "E-Patrimoniu: Digitalisation of Archives for Sustainable Development."
Within the launch, the main coordinates will be presented regarding the digitalisation of the heritage of the Cluj-Napoca Branch Library of the Romanian Academy and the creation of virtual tours for three cultural buildings in Bucharest: the "Ing. Dumitru Furnica-Minovici" Museum of Western Old Art, the "Acad. George Oprescu" Art Museum and the historic headquarters of the Romanian Academy at 125 Calea Victoriei, according to a release of the academic institution.
The project's overall objective is to create a robust and complex digital infrastructure to support the long-term preservation of the cultural heritage of the Romanian Academy and its Cluj-Napoca Branch, while ensuring its accessibility and promotion at national and international level.
The project was selected under the "Smart Growth, Digitalisation and Financial Instruments 2021-2027" Programme, co-financed by the European Union and benefits from total funding of 9,839,971.82 lei, of which 7,374,989.90 lei represents eligible non-reimbursable funding from EU funds and 2,464,981.92 lei eligible non-reimbursable funding from the national budget.
The project has an implementation period of 36 months.
