The Chamber of Deputies' Speaker Liviu Dragnea says that the increase in the ROBOR index is an important topic, and that is why a discussion on this issue with the management of the Central Bank and, eventually, with the banks in Romania is necessary.
"There has to be a discussion, in which we should participate, with the management of the Central Bank, because it is an important topic. Perhaps not only with the Central Bank, but also with the representatives of the other banks. I believe that a correct relationship with the banking system is beneficial and a correct relationship with the National Bank, but it must come from both ways," Liviu Dragnea said in southern Alexandria. The PSD leader's intention comes after the National Bank of Romania announced for Monday an index level of 1.71pct per annum from 1.58pct per annum on Friday (+ 8.2pct).
