Minister of the Economy, Digital Transformation, Entrepreneurship and Tourism Radu Miruta on Friday signed a government decision by which Romania receives mining licence for the graphite at Baia de Fier.
"We signed today the government decision by which Romania receives the mining licence for the graphite at Baia de Fier. An extremely valuable mineral, sought after all over the world, remains the property of Romania and will produce value for our economy. I fought for this graffiti before I was a minister, and today, a month and a half after I arrived in the ministry, I made sure that this unique resource will be capitalised on in the interest of Romania, will bring jobs, economic development and pride for Romanians. We have taken care of what is ours," the minister said in a social media video message.
