Romania can be proud of high-quality products for the aerospace industry around the world created by large and high-performing manufacturers, said on Monday the Minister of Economy, Digitalization, Entrepreneurship and Tourism, Irineu Darau, in a Facebook post.
"In Romania we also have large and efficient producers, which we must listen to and respect. I have great respect for the companies that produce and innovate in our country, which is why I visit and listen to them whenever I can. Through Universal Alloy Corporation Europe (UACE), we can be proud that high-quality products are created here for the aerospace industry worldwide," the Minister of Economy wrote.
According to him, Romania must encourage such investors, through stability and growth opportunities.
Irineu Darau stated that UACE built the first factory producing hard extruded aluminum profiles for the aeronautical industry in an Eastern European country, and is now one of the largest employers in the region.
UACE operates in three locations in North-West Romania: Dumbravita and Tautii Magheraus - Maramures and Mediesu Aurit - Satu Mare, "the three factories having technology at the highest technical standards".
"A few figures and aspects that speak for themselves: 17 years of existence, with three factories built in Romania; investments of over 500 million euros; current turnover of 300 million euros; over 2,800 employees, of which 95% are Romanian; entirely export activity," the minister mentioned.
He believes that due to its quality and delivery performance, UACE is considered and awarded as a top supplier, and its products and components for the aerospace industry have huge clients such as Airbus, Boeing or SpaceX.
The Minister of Economy was present during the holidays in Maramures, where he also had several meetings with party members and local entrepreneurs, according to his own mentions on the social network.
