Romania has projects, enjoys stability and has the potential to deliver energy for the industries of the future, Energy Minister Bogdan Ivan said on Thursday after meeting U.S. Secretary of Energy Chris Wright at the World Economic Forum in Davos.
"Another day with a strong start in Davos. This morning, I discussed with Chris Wright, the U.S. Secretary of Energy, about large-scale energy projects and financing to accelerate their development. I presented Romania's strategic directions: new production capacities, solid energy infrastructure and mature, investment-ready projects. My message was firm and pragmatic: Romania has projects, has stability and the potential to deliver energy for the industries of the future," Ivan wrote on Facebook.
Romania is represented at Davos by Minister of Foreign Affairs Oana Toiu, Minister of European Investments and Projects Dragos Pislaru, Energy Minister Bogdan Ivan, and presidential advisor Radu Burnete, the Foreign Ministry reports.
Ivan is scheduled to speak Thursday at the panel "Can Europe Compete on Clean Power?", which will address Europe's ability to maintain industrial competitiveness in the global race for green energy.
The Romanian delegation's program also includes meetings aimed at attracting investment and strengthening economic partnerships, the Foreign Ministry added.
