The National Museum of Art of Romania (MNAR) and the Association of Friends of the MNAR invite the public on Sunday, from 11:00 to 17:00, to the Theodor Pallady Museum to celebrate the European Day of Friends of Museums.

According to a MNAR release sent to AGERPRES on Tuesday, visitors are invited throughout the day to join free interactive workshops, special presentations in the museum spaces and activities for children and adults, all envisioned around the theme of friendship and the joy of discovering art.

The programme includes:

* The workshop called "The Friendship Tree" (from 11:00), organised by Artelier D Association, dedicated to children aged 4 to 7, exploring the meaning of friendship and generosity through play, stories and art.

* Guided tours every hour (between 12:00 and 16:00) and treasure hunts to discover the hidden stories of the house and the museum's collection.

* The workshop called "Art, Fashion and Friendship" (from 15:30), led by Ioana Ciustea, offering a journey into Theodor Pallady's artistic universe and his friendship with Henri Matisse, through the lens of traditional Romanian costume and embroidery.

Access is granted with a museum entry ticket (16 lei for adults, 8 lei for pensioners, 4 lei for children and students), while participation in the workshops is free of charge.

The event is part of the World Federation of Friends of Museums (WFFM) initiative and marks, at international level, the vital contribution of friends' associations to museum life and the support of cultural heritage.
