As many as 36 specialists from Romania will participate on Friday in the international conference "The impact of emerging and disruptive technologies on global security" hosted by Nicolae Balcescu Land Forces Academy in Sibiu, where drones and robots for military purposes will be exhibited, but also the first Romanian electric car, manufactured in Cluj-Napoca, informs a press release sent to AGERPRES.
"Nicolae Balcescu Land Forces Academy in Sibiu will host on Friday, March 15, the third edition of the international conference 'The impact of emerging and disruptive technologies on global security', an event organized in partnership with the Academy of Romanian Scientists, Military Science Section, whose president is general (in reserve) Professor Teodor Frunzeti, PhD. The theme of this conference is part of the main coordinates of the current international security environment, which faces the threats generated by the strong evolution of these technologies. During the conference will be debated issues related to the impact that these advanced technologies have on the social, medical, economic and military environment. Also, exhibition stands and demonstrations with drones, robots, and mobile devices operated by sensors to the impact with laser waves will be presented and, last but not least, the first Romanian electric car manufactured in Cluj-Napoca will also be showcased," the press release adds.
Among the topics that will be discussed on Friday, at the military academy in Sibiu, is the use of Artificial Intelligence in army decisions.
