The "Floralia" ensemble will perform a concert of traditional Romanian and Balkan carols on Wednesday, 14 December, at the Aula of the Central University Library 'Mihai Eminescu' in Iasi, under the baton of conductor Irina Zamfira Bucescu-Danila, told Agerpres.

According to a press release, the performance is organized as part of the season of the "Moldova" Philharmonic and will be held, from 7:00 p.m., in the Aula of the Central University Library 'Mihai Eminescu' in Iasi.

The repertoire of the concert will be a special one, consisting of traditional carols taken from collections of Romanian folklore, but also from the folklore treasury of the neighboring Orthodox nations: Bulgaria, Serbia, North Macedonia, Ukraine and Greece.

The vocal-instrumental ensemble Floralia of the Religious Music Specialization within the Faculty of Interpretation, Composition and Theoretical Music Studies of the 'George Enescu' National University of Arts from Iasi mainly aims to promote in the country and abroad, the old music, the authentic Romanian folklore, with a certain value of national and universal heritage. The band stood out by participating in national and international festivals (Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova).
