Foreign Minister Toiu and Japanese Ambassador Katae discuss international and regional security developments

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Oana Toiu, received on Wednesday the Japanese Ambassador to Romania, Takashi Katae, on a courtesy visit, in which they addressed international and regional security developments.

A press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informs that the Romanian official conveyed her appreciation for the dynamics of the bilateral relationship, highlighting the solid commitment of Romania and Japan to strengthen the Strategic Partnership.

At the same time, the Romanian minister and the Japanese ambassador had extensive discussions on a wide range of topics, such as political dialogue, economic and sectoral aspects, international and regional security developments.

The two also particularly appreciated Romania's participation in Expo Osaka, hosted by Japan, between April and October.

The Romanian foreign minister and the Japanese ambassador expressed their confidence regarding the future trajectory of relations between the two states and expressed the commitment of the two countries to continue working closely to promote common objectives and interests, both bilaterally and multilaterally.
