NATO remains committed to reinforcing its deterrence and defence posture on the Eastern Flank, with Romania playing a key role in the region, Foreign Affairs Minister Oana Toiu said on Friday.
On the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, she met NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, alongside Romania's Ambassador to NATO, Dan Neculaescu, describing the talks as "a brief exchange of views".
"I raised the issue of our close coordination in preparation for the upcoming B9 Summit in Bucharest," Oana Toiu wrote on Facebook.
Foreign Affairs Minister Oana Toiu is attending the Munich Security Conference (MSC 2026) from Friday to Sunday, where she will underline the strategic importance of the Black Sea region, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) said.
