Foreign Affairs Minister Teodor Melescanu met on Wednesday with Agreed Ambassador of the Republic of Austria to Romania Isabel Rauscher, for the presentation of the copies of the letters of credence.
According to a release of the Foreign Affairs Ministry (MAE), the two official reviewed the stage and prospects of the bilateral cooperation, underscoring both parties' interest to strengthen the relations and boost the political dialogue, by carrying out several high level bilateral contracts during 2018, including in the context of successively taking over the Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
Also mentioned was the very good level of the bilateral economic relations, as well as the untapped potential, that could stimulate the intensification of economic exchanges and investments.
The two officials reviewed topical themes featuring on the regional and European agenda.
The Romanian dignitary wished the Austrian Ambassador success in her activity in Romania.
