The government adopted on Wednesday in its weekly sitting two memorandums through which Romania is going to give a 5-million euro support to financing some investments projects in the preschool infrastructure and some programmes dedicated to the local communities in the Republic of Moldova, the Romanian government's spokesman, Liviu Iolu informed. One of the documents, endorsed upon the official visit the Premier Dacian Ciolos alongside members of his Cabinet is going to pay on Thursday to Chisinau, is targeting the closing of the Cooperation Programme on 2016 between the Romanian and the Moldovan governments, that is to be the legal ground to granting a three-million euro financial assistance to renovate and retool some 85 kindergartens in Moldova.

The list of the said kindergartens that will benefit from the non-reimbursable sum was decided by the Chisinau authorities. These funds are added to the 23 million euro transferred to the kindergartens in two stages: in 2014 - 20 million euro through the Agreement on the implementation of the technical and financial assistance programme worth 100 million euro, which some 774 kindergartens with 72,000 children benefited from, and three million euro through official development assistance, the works financed that are under way covering some 36 kindergartens.

Through the second memorandum one million euro will be allocated through the Regional Development Agencies of the Republic of Moldova, for rural infrastructure works in 20 localities as decided by the Chisinau authorities, and another million euro through the Social Investments Fund of the Rep. of Moldova, for 15 investments projects in the public works of interest for the local communities. The two memorandums were adopted upon the Agreement between the two countries' governments on the implementation of the 100-million euro technical and financial assistance programme signed in Bucharest on 27 April 2010.
