Government spokesperson Ioana Dogioiu mentioned that the measure prohibiting the cumulation of a state salary with a pension, which will entail an 85% penalty on the pension, shall be applied only in the case of non-contributory pensions.
"In regard to the pension-salary cumulation, I want to underscore from the start that the 85% penalty applies only to non-contributory pensions. Contributory pensions are not affected in any way by this provision. And this draft law is to be finalized quickly, as it must also be sent to the CSM [Superior Council of Magistracy] for approval and the intention is that, next week, assuming the CSM issues its opinion, the draft either enters a fast-track parliamentary procedure or is coupled with the government's confidence vote on the magistrates' pensions law, again subject to the CSM's clearance for that draft law," Ioana Dogioiu told a news conference on Thursday held at the Victoria Palace.
