Growing interest in changing jobs, 22 pct of Romanians believe good jobs are filled via 'nepotism' (survey)

This year is marked by an increase in candidates' interest in changing jobs, with 5.9 million applications since the beginning of the year, according to the latest survey conducted by eJobs Romania.

"Unfortunately, 22% of respondents still believe that the best jobs are filled via "nepotism", and 15.4% believe they have difficulties in getting the job they want because they have too high salary expectations and almost as many do not trust that job ads are true. The next obstacles they fear are lack of experience, not enough jobs available in the market or that they need career advice but don't know where to turn. 12% of the respondents declare, on the other hand, that they have total confidence in themselves and that they do not foresee any obstacles on their way to getting a new job," explained Ana Calugaru, head of Communications at eJobs.

According to the source, creating the resume is another step that ends up raising problems for many candidates. Thus, most of them are faced with the fact that they have too much experience that they don't know how to compress, 24% don't know which resume format to use, while 20% say that, on the contrary, they have too little experience, and this will make their resume seem unconvincing.

The survey was carried out in July this year on a sample of 1,350 respondents. Of these, 30.7% had changed jobs once in the last two years, 13.2% twice, 7.1% three times and 4.9% four times or more. 44.1% have never changed jobs in the mentioned period.

The eJobs platform was launched in 1999, and since 2012 has been part of the Ringier AG group, the international media company based in Zurich, Switzerland.AGERPRES
