Minister of Health Ioana Mihaila on Friday announced that the mask will remain mandatory to wear inside the education units for children over 6 and that sports activities would better take place in open spaces.
She made these clarifications in a press statement at the end of the working meeting that took place at the Victoria Palace on the matter of vaccination of children, which meeting was convened by PM Florin Citu.
The HealthMin also mentioned that after discussing the matter the officials agreed that "keeping schools open as long as possible" is a priority so that courses could take place face to face at the education units. She also added that the participants in such courses need to be offered "a safe environment," with protection measures to reduce the risk of communicating SARS-CoV-2 as much as possible.
"With respect to vaccination in school we will continue to discuss the technicalities with the National Committee Coordinating Vaccination Activities and to adjust the scenarios depending on the specificities of each community and each education unit, and we should be able to communicate the final decision as soon as possible," she said
