Her Majesty Margareta grants her High Patronage to Iasi Palace of Culture

In a ceremony organized on Wednesday in the Hall of Honor of Peles Castle in Sinaia, Custodian of the Crown, Her Majesty Margareta, granted her High Patronage to the Palace of Culture in Iasi ('Moldova' National Museum Complex) represented by its manager Andrei Apreotesei.

A series of royal orders and decorations were also granted to Romanian personalities and institutions on the same occasion.

Thus, the Royal Medal for Loyalty was conferred to Nicolaie Cernat, image editor at "Ora Regelui/The King's Hour" (TVR) and Felicia Duta - director of the Her Majesty's Household Association, the Medal of the Custodian of the Romanian Crown was awarded, among others, to the Mobile Emergency, Resuscitation and Extrication Service (SMURD) on the occasion of its 35th anniversary, with the distinction being handed to the head of the Emergency Management Department Raed Arafat, and the Order of the Crown of Romania in the rank of Knight was conferred on ambassadors George Bologan and Victor Chirila.

Veteran politician Dinu Zamfirescu was awarded the Order of the Crown of Romania in the rank of Officer, and director Silviu Purcarete and actor Horatiu Malaele received the royal decoration Nihil Sine Deo.

During the same ceremony, eight royal scholarships for the current year were awarded to students from the Technical University of the Republic of Moldova, the University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine in Bucharest, the State University of the Republic of Moldova and the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest.
