"Immigration police remain on duty between 1 June and 15 September, carrying out nationwide operations to ensure a safe environment during the 2025 Summer Season. They are conducting targeted operations and field checks, especially in tourist areas, in places and settings frequented by foreign nationals, as well as on the premises of economic operators when there are indications or data suggesting possible breaches of legislation regarding the status of foreign nationals in Romania," the release reads.
The main objectives of these activities are the prevention and combatting of illegal migration, identifying cases of illegal stay, and preventing undeclared work by foreign nationals.
Additionally, operations and inspections will be intensified in areas and environments frequented by foreigners, as well as on the premises of economic operators, when there is data or indications that foreign nationals may be violating legal provisions regarding their stay in Romania.
