Health Minister Alexandru Rogobete announced on Monday that the final payments for this year under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) projects have been completed, Agerpres reports.
"Implementing PNRR projects and speeding up payment mechanisms and support for beneficiaries have been a clear priority for me from the very first day I took over the Health Ministry portfolio. Today, the final payments for 2025 were completed, and the data clearly show that we are on the right track. The results stem from an unprecedented mobilisation, achieved together with my team at the Health Ministry and through constant and honest cooperation with project beneficiaries," Rogobete wrote on Facebook.
According to the minister, payments were accelerated, bottlenecks were reduced, and efforts were made to ensure investments were implemented properly, on time, and with minimal risks.
"PNRR payment evolution in healthcare: 2023 - RON 108 million; 2024 - RON 1.1 billion; 2025 - first half - RON 735 million; 2025 - second half - RON 2.5 billion. In the second half of 2025 alone, payments increased by around 240%, a pace that clearly demonstrates the capacity for mobilisation and the maturity of payment mechanisms. Overall, the Health Ministry has paid RON 4.45 billion, representing around 68.7% of the total budget allocated to healthcare through the PNRR. These are real, visible and indisputable investments that are bringing tangible change to the healthcare system," Alexandru Rogobete underlined.
