Interim Prime Minister Sorin Grindeanu on Wednesday said that he talked with PM-designate Mihai Tudose in order to clarify the handover-takeover process, so it may be "correct, institutional and smooth."
"I have discussed with Mihai Tudose precisely to set in order this handover-takeover process. We'll probably discuss today and tomorrow, so that things go smoothly from an institutional point of view. I have no reason to doubt this," Grindeanu said at the Victoria Governmental Palace.
At the same time, Grindeanu pointed out that he would meet Tudose the next days.
"We'll be meeting the next days, when both of our schedules allow it, so this process may be as correct, institutional and smooth as possible," Grindeanu also said.
At the same time, Sorin Grindeanu warned Mihai Tudose that he should prepare for the moment "when his turn comes."
"PM-designate Mihai Tudose should be aware - and I believe he is aware of it - and be prepared for the moment, in a few months' time, when his turn comes. I know Mihai likes chess, so he should think carefully the next moves," he showed.
According to Grindeanu, this political crisis caused "delays in the real economy."
"This political circle, generated by only one person, will be paid by each Romanian. (...) I have tried to work closely with (...) the team of ministers. With some I have worked very well, with others, less, but I believe they have all been part of a team and I know one never faults one's own team, it is a matter of honour. Unfortunately, this thing has happened. I would like to tell my former colleagues of the governmental team that I don't blame them - I know it is difficult to be put in the position of receiving (...) indications from the party chairman, which many times contradicted what the chief of government said, as well as what they knew it was correct," Grindeanu pointed out.
At the same time, Sorin Grindeanu wished success to Mihai Tudose and his ministers.
"I am giving a piece of advice to those in the future governmental team - to realize one thing: that the Government doesn't belong to one person, it is not Liviu Dragnea's, it is not Sorin Grindeanu's, it is not Mihai Tudose's. It is Romania's Government," Grindeanu concluded.
