President Klaus Iohannis has acknowledged the deregistration of some rights on a house following a ruling of the Court of Appeals of Brasov, and he will immediately refund the money paid to him as rent for that house, the Presidential Administration announced on Tuesday.
The President and his wife Carmen Iohannis saw their purchase contract for this house voided by the aforementioned court, in a final decision in November 2015, after years of lawsuits involving alleged heirs and former tenants. A last resort procedure - an appeal for annulment introduced by the Iohannises - is still pending.
