The interim president of the Social Democratic Party (PSD), Sorin Grindeanu, said on Tuesday that the reforms in the Justice are necessary, must be done quickly, in full transparency and following a real dialogue, with respect for the state institutions, and if Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan assumes the resumption of the procedures, again, on his own, and "fails" for the second time, he will have to bear the political consequences of his own decisions.
"Justice reforms are necessary, they must be carried out quickly, in full transparency and following a real dialogue, with respect for state institutions. All political actors must collaborate and I have requested this on behalf of the PSD. Unfortunately, some, driven more by pride and less by reason, want to take the same steps that, in the past, led to failure - risking this time an even more serious outcome: rejection on the merits", Grindeanu wrote on Facebook.
He added that he can understand Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan's desire to get directly involved in the necessary reforms in the field of Justice, but he "must understand that he can no longer do it alone".
"A real dialogue with all relevant actors in the field is mandatory. If he chooses to refuse the path of dialogue, assumes the resumption of the procedures, again, on his own, and fails a second time, Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan will then have to bear the political consequences of his own decisions", the PSD leader argued.
