Liberal MP Dan Vilceanu, former minister of finance, stated on Friday night that he signed the notification to the Constitutional Court on the package of laws for which the Government pledged responsibility in Parliament because the piece of legislation is unconstitutional, and through its provisions taxes and inflation increase, the economy is destroyed and Romanians become poorer.
He claimed that the PNL is going through a "sad period", in which the current leadership "supports all the fiscal aberrations that the party criticized during the (former PSD leader, ed. n.) Dragnea period", agerpres reports.
''I remain liberal. I signed the notification to the Constitutional Court against the law on tax increases, adopted by the Ciolacu Government's pledging responsibility. The PNL is currently going through a sad period in which the current leadership supports all the fiscal aberrations that the party criticized during the Dragnea period. The party leadership gave up representing the private economy, the liberal professions, entrepreneurs and the principles of the market economy. I will never do that! The law for which Ciolacu pledged responsibility in the Parliament raises taxes, increases inflation, destroys the economy, impoverishes Romanians and is unconstitutional,'' Vilceanu wrote on Facebook.
