By 20:00 on Sunday, 568,199 voters had cast their ballots in the election for the office of general mayor of the Capital, representing 31.50% of those registered on the electoral rolls, according to real-time data provided by the Permanent Electoral Authority (AEP).
Of these, 555,659 voted on permanent and supplementary rolls, 10,518 on additional rolls and 2,022 using the mobile ballot box.
Turnout by sector was 35.22% in Sector 1, 31.91% in Sector 2, 26.30% in Sector 3, 34.11% in Sector 4, 28.54% in Sector 5 and 35.74% in Sector 6.
There are 1,803,728 voters registered on the permanent and supplementary rolls in Bucharest.
At the previous local elections on 9 June 2024 turnout in Bucharest at 20:00 was 36.06%.
