National Liberal Party (PNL) candidate for Bucharest mayor Ciprian Ciucu garnered 32.7% of the votes on Sunday, while Social Democratic Party (PSD) candidate Daniel Baluta was credited with 26.3% of the votes, according to exit-poll results conducted by CURS-Avangarde.
Anca Alexandrescu, supported by the Alliance for Romanians' Union (AUR), is placed on the third position with 20.2% of the votes, Save Romania Union (USR) candidate Catalin Drula was ranked fourth with 12.8%, while Ana Ciceala came in fifth with 6%.
These figures are valid as of 19:30.
Ten representatives of political parties and seven independents, one supported by an alliance, competed for the office of general mayor of Bucharest in Sunday's election.
